Sara and Kamila

Their performance at Cochrane Street United Church was the most eloquent, inspiring, emotional event that I've ever attended. I never ever wept at a live performance before. But how could I help it when confronted with such warmth, such love and spirituality?

Sara and Kamila love each other so much, and without the jealousy and competitive tensions that often damage the bond between sisters. It's too bad I didn't know them when I was 15. That's when a broken family and poverty hurts the most. They are a beautiful example to a troubled world that treats poor people like criminals and leaves Muslim children homeless.

To speak to people in a way that inspires renewal of spirit and love... so much love... isn't easy. I call it spiritual intelligence. The world has a lot to learn from Sara and Kamila.

They will be familiar with many of these words, I'm sure. And I mean them.

I miss them. Come home soon.
The honourary Nasr sister,
Elaine.
