Elaine

The face of ambivalence: Elaine Davis. A flat-nosed face spotted with pink and yellow bumps and framed with dark mustard chunks of hair. Ravishing. Mosaic really brings out the best in my features.

Also, according to the twelve signs of the zodiac, I am the timid tiger, a mosaic of character. That's the first and last self-portrait I'll be doin' buddy. Let me tell ya. I felt vain staring at myself for a month. But my employment assistance counselor insisted on it. "Every artist has a self portrait." Vincent Van Gogh painted thirty in a mere five years --- from the end of the Brabant period (1885) to the last year of his life at St Rémy and Auversforty. God save his endearing soul. Somehow, though, I don't think vanity had a hand in the yellow of his skin.

This backwards brand of employment assistance moved me forwards. Those who got it together go to school and then establish their careers. I establish my career first, then go to school. At least, that's the plan.
