About Poverty...

A little girl in a white dress peeps out behind the door. Her black face hides behind the shadows of the windowless hallway. Seated against the blue wall is her grandmother. Her brown wrinkled face made young by the new day of her sunshine blouse. Her big eyes hide behind the yellow frames of the window. The green wall, the brown chair, the wooden stool, the sandals in the corner: this is poverty.
